UPDATED TO v2, MASSIVE SECURITY UPDATE, NOW 100% SAFE TO USE!

Yeah, I shouldn't have said 100% safe, as it's very misleading, but v3 is coming soon and it uses the correct UA header and URL sequence!
I'd classify this release as 50% safe.

Would you mind to edit your post, in order to be more consitent. I mean people may not read the whole thread, and might be confused :)

And also, if your cert gets banned from this application (which it won't), I will happily take full responsibility for it.
IMO, any actions not made by the Switch itself should be considered as potentially unsafe, and you can't say that won't lead to a sanction.
Oh, and how will you take responsibility? Buying new Switch to users? Unban them ? Just like to have a deeper explanation on this if you don't mind

I know it's exciting to find stuff and share them (btw thank you for the work and the time spend), but you should not forget to warn users properly and don't make statements that you're not 100% sure of!!

PS : yes i'm new and don't have lots of messages, but doesn't mean i dont read forums :)

Since this has a good chance to get users banned and it's been filled with tons of back and forth fighting and drama, could we just delete the thread entirely? I appreciate the attempt at helping, Simon, but better safe than sorry - Once you get some more programming under your belt, I'm sure you'll be a big help :)

@SimonMKWii I think this is easy to detect and ban, they can detect what certificate you are using and that certificate is tied to your hardware (console) so they can know if that hardware is also tied to an account that has purchased the title you are downloading and if the downloaded title is not purchased or allowed to download........ban...or not... who knows?

I'm attempting to backup/dump all files then continue with this tutorial. My question was fully in regards to this tutorial and thread.

All the best everyone

Your question has nothing to do with the work done in this thread. What you should have done, is gone to the thread in which you read up about making a NAND backup, and ask them if that looked right.
OP has nothing to do with your backup. Just because you wanted to be safe, does not mean this is the place you ask.
And here I am replying yet again, cluttering this thread even more.
sigh

If anyone in the know has time to glance at Rei's version, I'd be interested to hear if he's doing it any differently.
Doesn't look like he's setting a User Agent either. My advice is to stay away from all downloaders for now. They're useless anyways until there's a proper CFW and an installer app.

Edit:
It doesn't only need the User Agent to replicate a Switch, mind you. But you can stop looking if that is missing.

Hey, @SimonMKWii , don't let these users get you down. Just keep refining your programs and keep up the good work.

Yeah @SimonMKWii has done a very good work and I also risked my account and tried his tool with my cert but people should know that the only way to keep their accounts safe is not to use their private certs to connect to nintendo's CDN and download games that haven't purchased until another way like a public or something like a "generic certificate" can be used. @SimonMKWii, keep the great work!!!
