No idea how it's better or worse, but I run brutal doom just fine. I have OC-Suite installed tho.

How do you get the Keyboard to come up to do Codes? I try the Console, then I cant get rid of it.

Has anyone gotten "myhouse.pk3" running on switch? I'm trying to boot it with the gzdoom launcher but keep getting "software was closed because an error occurred" message. The myhouse.wad file runs fine.

'Go to console' in the pause menu

Then press A to open the keyboard. Then press + to enter then + again to exit console back to options

Had to change a few Keys, but got it! MANY thanks, but cant get IDKFA to work. Only IDDQD

It's weird but some cheat codes only work when typed during gameplay.
Like, without pausing the game you just type them, actually in game.

You can only do this on switch by actually plugging in a usb keyboard. I tried your idkfa and it worked on my keyboard.

You can apprently type "give X" in console to get the same effect.

Give keys
Give weapons
Give armor

What do you mean lights brighter? Screen brightness?

Display in options will have all that.
Make sure to turn 'Full Options Menu' on in the options screen. That gives you way more stuff to choose from.

Full options ON > Display > Hardware Renderer > Sector Light Mode

The sector lighting in gzdoom I think is quite dark by default. Maybe that's what you mean?
Original games lights would be 'Software' or 'Vanilla'.

Sorry, I try to Input the IDBEHOLD L (Light Amplification), but it does not work. Is there a different method?

EDIT: "give powerlightamp" is the Command in Console (Night Vision)

Also for Full Map, you enter: am_cheat # (1-3)

On the off chance any one comes looking like I did, best answer I could find was that this particular .pk3 requires a newer version of gzdoom than the 4.7.1 currently available for the switch. Best way I can see for now is to use moonlight streaming with a pc.

Holy shit! I just tested latest staging pb update on my Switch and it works! This is a miracle because it did not work before because the gzdoom app on Switch was and still is very outdated. But i dont know how or why but it works now

And also it seems to work better than before. I played first 3 stages on Doom 1 maps and it studders much lesser now. Not perfect off course but much better still

AimAssist.pk3 crashes gzdoom 4.7.1., it needs 4.10.0. Playing ashes or pb on controller without any aimassistance is real pain in ass. I tried to examine the code, and see if i can make it run on older versions, but no results... lacking programming skills

Among other things startup times seem to have decreased quite a bit for me.
Before anyone asks, myhouse.pk3 runs like ass. Not much can be done about it since the map is a mess of portals and other advanced fuckery.
