Hacking Guitar hero 5 issues

This is fucking retarded...... Ive been playing guitar hero 5 for WEEKS no issues at all. Last time it worked was last night, now when i try to load the game it freezes at the menu or the screen going into the menu. Ive made NO changes to the system or updated anything, I literally turned the motherfucking thing off last night, and today it no longer works...... Ive tried putting video to game default and loading each and every IOS from the selection of config usb V70, but nothing makes any difference.... Id like to know how to get this working again, and i really wanna know how the fuck a game decides over night that it no longer wants to work at all......

you know you only need to create one topic about this? don't go spamming threads about it. anyway some details should be appreciated, what format is your hdd in? fat32? ntfs? or wbfs? if it is in wbfs it could have corrupted

well i am sorry I cannot be there for you every moment you bugger up your Wii. Anywho if you are done crying as Xflak said, are you sure the hdd is working? have you tried it with other games? have you made any changes to your wii recently? at the top of my head i recall that Guitar Hero 5 uses Cios 223 to load

The game is no problematic one and works with d2x and hermes cIOS, I suppose some HDD failure there.

Your right, my bad. I dont think its HDD failure since my 20+ other games all run no issues. I followed this guide "http://porn.gbatemp.net/forum/f41/getting-guitar-hero-5-work-soft-mod-wii-486052/" but all that did was fuck my system up further, now 224 locks anytime i is accessed (loading games/ Pimp my wii diagnostics). Im currently trying to put hermes v4 on 222 and 223, I hope that fixes the issue or atleast stops my system from locking when loading 224

Hermes v4 (had to downgrade from 5.1) in 223 with ios37 & ios38 merged fixed the issue

#1 - plz drop the name calling, I've seen ppl who've been here a lot longer get banned for a lot less
#2 - stay away from pimp my wii. There's a reason why many people refer to it as "brick my wii"
#3 - install the latest recommended cIOSs (i.e. d2x v8 base 56 to slot 249, d2x v8 base 57 to slot 250, etc.)

To accomplish #3, I recommend you use ModMii. You can grab it from the link in my signature. Then you have some choices on how to use ModMii to update your softmods.
a) Run the ModMii wizard and tell it your wii has never been modded before, then follow your custom guide to update ALL your softmods
b) Run ModMii's syscheck updater function. This will analyze a syscheck log csv file (created by your specific wii using syscheck), then ModMii will generate a custom guide for you to update ONLY whatever is deemed to be outdated
c) Run the ModMii Wizard, tell it your wii is already modified, then when asked what you want to update, choose to update recommended cIOSs, then it will build a guide for you to update ONLY your cIOSs
d) Start ModMii classic, from the main menu type "4", then "rec", then "d", then "y". This will just download\build the recommended cIOSs for you in WAD form (no custom guide will be generated), which you can install using your preferred WAD Manager (e.g. MMM)

Then load your game using cIOS249, if that fails, try cIOS223. If it still fails, try re-ripping the game.

edit: just saw you got it working, good stuff. FYI, the cIOS you used to get it working is also ModMii's recommended cIOS223. But if you install ModMii's recommended cIOS249, which uses IOS56 as a base, it should also work for GH5 but it will have the added benefit of faster loading times (relative to 223)

The only thing I have useful to add to this convo is that you should make sure you keep a NAND backup stored in a safe place incase somehow something goes wrong in your wii hacking ventures. I'd hate to see you perma brick your wii to the point that you can't pay me $40 for me to fix any mistake that may happen.

i'm going be a dick and say this but Guitar Hero Warriors Of Rock is better. just saying that's all i use to have trouble with GH5 along with TMNT-Smash Up just do what xflak does his program is one of the best pc to wii programs i have ever saw.

Game randomly decided again it doesnt want to work, Thanks Xflak ill try those steps and if not ill just do without the headache, and to that mod all i can say is LOL. Im sure other people find you REALLY scary but the truth is threaten all you want i couldnt care less about a forum account i made a day ago, and i didnt link any "warez" i had an issue with something i did so i linked where i got the steps. Respect is a two way street and thats the way to ask someone to do or not do something. Because you asked nicely and refrained from insulting or threatening me, my response is sure. I'll watch what i say out of respect for someone who clearly does what he can for others (even if deadlyfoez is making it difficult to)

With that said, the modmii UI hung at 100% on the A) method, I can do all the manual work no problem, but i do not know what goes where.
As it stands my wii has the following.... (using the log from v8 dx2)
