Silly question, I know it says to go to the Community noobs guide to backup your system nand, but is it possible to back up the system nand by this method before doing the hacking of the console?

you can back up sysNAND by using the dumper app without using cbhc. you either need that or the otp.bin to decrypt the nand after cbhc and use nandcbhcrecovery or whatever it's called. it will fix it, but you need your otp. if you dump the nand before that, you don't need the otp.

Anybody hosting the hex and py files? Link in OP is dead and can't find the correct one anywhere. Not sure if I can use the PS3 version? Thanks!

sad to see this thread dead
What do you expect? The wii u itself is a flop console. And no one was really interested to do something in relation to homebrew. There are only a few nice tools out there. But also really only the most necessary. The rest is crap.

Flopping has literally nothing to do with the quality of the games (good) and the desired to play them (exists). There's still a pretty vibrant Sega Saturn community with nearly developed games, hacks, and hb.

Doesn't matter. Are the games good? Hell, yes! Definitely! But most of them are ported to the switch by now. The wii u doesn't have that good support like you said with the sega saturn.

Yeah thanks for your insight, I'd rather discuss this with people who actually use the device in question

the wii u and the vita are kinda in the same vain in that they're both flops, but they're hella good if you hack them and use them as emulation machines.

You can use anything as an emulation station, a pi or mister are better options. The games speak for themselves and with wiiusbhelper, there's no reason not to play them on the wiiu. No need to buy a switch
