Progress Bar isnt needed.

With Wad Manager, it shows which part of the wad its currently installing.

Homebrew Wads are all in 3 parts:

First the ticket id is installed then:

00 = Channel Banner/Icon/Sound
01 = .DOL/.ELF File that launches the app
02 = Im not sure what this is actually.
00000002.app is the NANDloader that loads the app of the Wii's NAND. This is also copyrighted by nintendo so if there is one the channels is illegal.

Well if thats the case then I want WAD Mananger moved into my Wii Data Management section so I don't have to hit so many buttons!

Yea, well to me this sounds more like a homebrew hacker Wiii shop channel with extra functions. This would be a great idea but it would be hard to find the right coder for the job and the source to wad manager which i would imagine that not being too hard to get...

when ever bootmii and csm get released, im sure this will not be too far fetched.

maybe it could also do a health check of the wad and delete it if its malicious

You only need to code the wad manager GUI to read the banner infos from the WAD.

sounds more simple than it really is though.

it would be nice to see the amount of blocks, and the blocks left, and that is automaticly warns you when you install a to large wad file

With all the work and customization that has gone into the usb loaders and emulators out there, the tools and the expertise are DEFINITELY there for this to be done. I know waninkoko has his GIT repositories for his source code, is the wad manager code there? Having a wad manager that loads images that are premade to go with wads and to download them from the net is not unreasonable as this has already been done for the usb loaders, which can be unquestionable called piracy. Piracy debate aside, a Wad Manager GX would be EXCELLENT. Wad tools already exist, if people want to pirate, they will, why not snazz it up a bit?

sounds great!
is it possible to install wads directly to the sd card?

another feature that would be nice to have

imho, don't hate me but running from SD is a pretty moot point now, as 4.0 sort of does this (I know it copies to NAND). Point is a SD card with 2gb, will only have 2GB, all it will save is a tiny amount of time, and it may even take longer to load.

So... scrap the idea of installing to SD and substitute to running from USB2

Glad this topic got bumped, got me thinking of a few ideas too
