Hello! I have a V1 Patched Switch with 16.1.0 cfw 1.5.5
I noticed that games with cutscenes that utilize "videos" show green/glitchy screen while at it, and an extreme slowdown.
I can usually just skip these but it does lead to a slowdown so skipping the cutscenes would take 2-5 minutes.
the gameplay itself is unaffected. also, if the cutscene is rendered real-time, it does not do the green/glitchy screen.
Also, I cannot play clips that I recorded in the gallery. it just stays on a black screen.
I tried sending these clips to my smartphone and they play just fine.

What I already tried:
-updating cfw, hekate, etc.
-replacing the sd card

maybe y'all have insights about this? please let me know.

Hey!

No, it's not an OLED model. just V1.
Yes, sometimes solid green color, sometimes a few pink and green glitchy artefacts.

sadly youre switch is dying
you probably better off getting a used v1 tablet from ebay than to try to fix it

you think so? I am only facing this problem on cutscenes. gameplays are otherwise smooth. I can even overclock without facing any graphical issues (not that I intend to overclock).

those artefacts are most likely to come from the SoC or the RAM you could try to reflow them with a solder iron

and yes at the moment it will be just at cutscenes but it will worsen over time
if youre not sure then you could try to put other video files on your switch but those will probably give you also a blackscreen

my personal hunch your videoencoder in the tegra chip is busted since this only appears when youre watching video files and non real time cutscenes
