So, I just finished GTA IV yesterday and I've been doing some free roaming and side missions. But damn, it's not even half as much fun as San Andreas or Vice City. They took out like ALL of the fun stuff you could do in SA and Vice and added some slow as fuck driving physics. Sure the plot is pretty cool, but free roaming keeps GTA fresh. It's not there anymore though.
Last night I went a bit on a killing spree with a friend and we got 6 stars, hoping to steal a tank and save it at the parking strip. But tanks don't even show up anymore, just silly army trucks at the max. wanted level.
Where's the jetpack, the cool bikes, the driving you could level up, the weapons you could dual-wield if you trained them good enough, the awesome scenery of SA like the mountains and forests. Where are the great planes, the nice extras you got from collecting hidden packages, Area 51 with the cool army vehicles like the tank and combat chopper? Where's the parachutes? Where's your gang members you could roll and kill with? Hell, I don't even see any of the cool weapons, like the chainsaw, the flamethrower, the mini gun, the satchel charges. The awesome cheats? I don't see the sweet arena races, motor races etc.
Can't do the vehicle missions either, like Vigilante or the Ambulance and Firefighter missions.
You don't even get anything cool for collecting the hidden packages (pidgeons in here) lol. Just a silly combat chopper that shoots rockets and a machine gun which you can use to further explore the ever repeating Liberty City with :/
