Hello all, I have a MSI Trident 3 9SI-616.
I was wondering if it's possible to upgrade the graphics card if it's not a hassle.
I currently have a 1660 super in it and want to go up to a 2060.

Any thoughts or ideas would be great, thanks for reading.

Should be no problem, so long as you double check the dimensions of the new 2060 vs the 1660 Super in it right now. You have basically no extra room to work with, so get some measurements on what will fit for sure before grabbing something.

But, as Armadillo notes, you might as well stick with the 1660s anyways because you're not going to find any good prices for a 2060 for a good long while yet, possibly a year or more.

In 2021, a jump from 1660 Super to a 2060 for the price you have to pay is not worth it (and that's an understatement). You'll have to wait a couple of generations to get a GPU that's worth your $.

First, find the card you want, then sell your old card asap to take advantage of the insane market out there right now.

I got a AORUS 3080 and sold my 2080S for $700 about 7 months ago.
Then I got a 3090 FE about 2 months ago, and sold the 3080 for $2200

I had gotten my son a 1660ti about a year ago, then was able to get a 3070 recently, I sold the 1660ti for $495.
Then a few weeks ago, I got a 3080 FE for him, and sold the 3070 for $1300.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I just looked at that case. You'll have to check for measurements and see what cards will actually fit in that case.

upgrade the GPU if u can get it at decent price...otherwise dont bother, buying from scalpers is never advised
