I used to make pixel art using a mouse as well

I had a Wacom tab for a very short time as a kid before my dog ate it

I always use a mouse, just a preference

Then there's Pixilart, that's where I draw. User-friendly, free, has the essentials, all that (Not a good social media site however- can tell with experience)

Pixelorama is free and open source. It's also pretty user-friendly. Cant really compare them tho

Pixilart's more in line with . . beginners (Even though I've been drawing for half a decade now)

Portable copies of Photoshop 6 are abundant and run on potatoes - it may or may not be what I am using >___>;

Drawing tablets will always be better for pixel art since they are much more precise/exact
