I'm still watching these threads... to see if the original team is indeed OK with someone else taking over (so far I've only see fans looking for extra help). At this point I could import texts from the officially localized PC game into its PSP version... But it's not like I'm gonna hijack their project or anything... Specially after years of hard work. Still, no need to cancel anything, I guess... XD

I don't think the original team needs to give permission to release the patch,after all they cancelled the project and didn't help anymore...

Sky, aside from, maybe! devnoname, i think you will hardly see any answer to your question. Main coder have abbandoned the project silently and translators are gone away due to lack of comunication... The project was deleted so i think at this point all the translation is on your hands...
Using at this stage official translation IMHO will be resulting a faster and better patch because no one is no more around

When you work on something during your free time, and as a hobby, quitting out of laziness as you said is perfectly acceptable. If the people doing it no longer enjoy doing it, there is no reason whatsoever to continue doing it. A paid job is already hard enough doing when you don't enjoy it, when you don't get paid for it, well, there's just no reason to do something you no longer enjoy.

I can assure you that they do know. @SkyBladeCloud was working with his group on translation patch for FF Type Zero for psp and succeed and this isn`t the only project he was participating in. I am more than certain that he knows what is he doing. We have to deal with fact that he has limited time but he agreed to help and make this project also come true. I have faith in him and the rest of the team.

I believe this can be found on @SkyBladeCloud `s Twitter since he used to upload infos there. I also believe he had a website but the link in his signature isn`t working. Try out twitter, I`m sure you`ll find things there ^^

I think waiting the devs of the old project give any kind of answer is something we learned to not do.
After all they are too busy hacking and playing with their psvitas.

I was thinking of finishing the translation of Monster Hunter Portable 3rd (PSP version) since we have Athena's Translation tool. I've imported the files from TMO with the same progress of it but I've already retranslated monster names (Brute Tigrex, Amatsu) and item names (Bomb Material, Thawing Agent)

I wish someone could help me to make it 100% english patch with Training School guides, Weapon and armor description and NPC's complete.

Since i'm here from the very start and viewing and looking if the translation is already done. But sadly i see that the translation have been stopped. And yes, the english is now on PC and PS VITA so it's not worth enough to translate it. I also saw that they gave the translation text. It just now need to be implemented in game for it to work.
