IGN: The official press release has just landed on our desk, complete with further details on the title. It follows on from Sonic and the Secrtet Rings as the second part of the Wii exclusive storybook series, and is being developed by Sonic Team in Japan. Transporting Sonic back to an Arthurian medieval world, it arms Sonic with a sword to tackle his foes. It's currently scheduled for release in Spring 2009, so keep a look out for more details here as they emerge.

From what I`ve read its like SatSR and I really enjoyed it. Who cares if he is Aladdin or King Arthur or who he is fighting against

Even though I really liked the Storybook idea. And Two Sonic games in half a year... I think that`s not a bad thing, especially because unleashed looks awesome!

Atleast Sonic is still a normal hedgehog.

Still, he should learn to jump into other things instead of books.

You know, like old game cartridges. Hur hur.

Sonic Unleashed and its Were-hog bother me, but sonic with a sword isn't as bad an idea.
Heck, maybe it'll use the Motion plus.
I dunno, I'm actually kinda curoius to see how bad it'll really be.

Certainly the releif from the pain wich is emo were-hog sonic.

Still, I can't help but feel that Sega forgot what Sonic is in the first place.
Now hes just another Crash Bandicoot that does whatever.

One day, one day we might get a Sonic that runs and has elemental shield power ups again.
Plus a co-op mode and a usefull tails.
And sub bosses, and arcade like play like the first games.

Eh, now Im dreaming too much.

Sonic with a sword is kinda cool, slowed down were-hog stretchy arm sonic, not so much.

Edit:
Screens arent too bad. Though only Sonic seems to be well polygoned.

The detailed bits at the lower parts of the image gallery on the IGN page kinda makes me think of Golden Axe rather than sonic.

Hmm, he should really be in the Golden Axe story not fighting with king Arthur >.<

Better see some darn Golden Axe refrences dang it!

Edit2:
It said "speed" in it.
They actually rememberd that part for once!
I think Im actually gonna look forward to this.
Plus they say they're really trying to fix past mistakes and the like.
Screw Sonic Unleashed, thats for those who liked Sonic Next Gen.
This one seems to be going in the right direction.
Were-hog sonic can drown in a three foot pool of water.

I hate the 2d games (except spinball), thought adventure 1 and 2 were great, Secret Rings ain't bad. Those are my opinions of the sonic games I've played.

I think alot of people are going to disagree with you but at least your honest.

Just being picky, Sega/Sonic Team have said that with every single game they've made since Shadow...kinda doesn't mean squat anymore.

Sonic's arms are noodles.
Swords are heavy.
Especially if they are bigger than yourself.

Does not compute.
