Trust me my friend, you're missing out.
Maybe I am but I heard that from holding the XL makes your arms hurt,so you have to lay down or put it on a table like a laptop..?

It weighs as much as a PSP 1000. I've been holding my DSi XL for 2 hours straight, and my hand never hurt.

Is it worth getting the DSi XL if I only have a DS Lite, or should I try to save up to a Netbook or something instead?

DSi XL - Larger screens, improvement in speakers, battery life
DS Lite - GBA slot, Longest battery life, smaller build & weighs less

I don't know. I don't know you so I can't determine whether a "Netbook or something" will be of more use to you than a Lite/XL. Personally, I have no regrets so far & I'm enjoying my games farrrrrr more than when I was playing it on the DSi.

I don't want to make a thread for this so...

DSi XL + SNES, Genesis, NeoGeo Emulation =

I re-added all of my SNES, Genesis, & NeoGeo roms to my MicroSD & all I can say is

Resolution is clean as. The games look so much better on the larger screens!

It's incredible mon!

The fat stylus and larger screens do add a lot to my playing pleasure.
For me, it was well worth the expense.

It was worth it for me, as my DS lite died, and technically it's only $2 more expensive than the DSi (excluding DSiWare and taxes).

The only thing that is stopping me is losing the DSI points on my current system.
I have 2000 and I really dont wanna lose em
and if I do trade it in I wanna completely wipe the system of all points and dsi ware

Everything in life is a balance. We keep our DS Lites and gain the GBA slot, longer battery life, more compactness, and hold on to a bunch of money we can go spend on more games, instead. You buy an XL, lose $200, lose the GBA slot, and lose a some battery life... while gaining a slightly larger screen, and some silly downloadable content.

Yeah, I think I'll stick with my DS Lite, thanks. I'll probably buy a normal DSi eventually, as I like to collect Nintendo handhelds, but I don't see myself using it to play games. I'm currently waiting to see if they come out with some limited-edition colour option, or Pokemon-themed unit. The XL holds no appeal for me, though.

Speakers have been vastly improved for the XL
