This is going to help me decide on a Christmas present for someone and I have no idea how Pokemon works so thanks ahead of time for helping.

I understand that Ultra Moon/Sun are upgraded versions of Moon/Sun.

So is there any reason someone would want Pokemon Moon if they are already getting Pokemon Ultra Moon?

That is, does having the Ultra version make having the older one pointless?

There are 2 different storys in these games
But Ultramoon has extra content like a dlc for Moon that never comes out
But for the Collections why not?

Having the Ultra one doesnt make owning the old one entirely pointless, just that most of the story would be in both so it would feel repetitive. If you just want them both for completions sake, by all means get the old one. But if you were expecting two entirely unique and exciting stories, I'd say don't and just get the Ultra one.

I'd get one of the Ultra versions--more 'mon, active battles, items are included (like mega stones), more events will release for the Ultra games, and a lot of other bonuses over Sun/Moon.

Get one of the Ultra ones and don't bother with the regular ones, they're just more of the same with a slightly stripped down/different story. The "Ultra" versions are basically upgraded versions of the originals, like adding DLC or creating a "Director's Cut."

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar

@Xdqwerty you can use a "spawner" function on any object.

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)

Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
