Hello again!
After quite some time I decided that the tutorial on how to install GBARunner in the current state is coming (probably) this evening. I am going to be using the method I got to work and providing links to all that may be needed, so yeah
thanks.
UPDATE: i got an unusable .sav!
at least its something...
filetrip is being tricky... :(
Keep the good work up!

Edit: Here you go guys! A little bit late, but I got it done :)

Last edited by Disturbo,
my nand backup was deleted and im in a deep hole...
is it possible to remove unlaunch?
my work is paused untill i do so.
(because i am planning some thing that unlaunch keeps on preventing)

if anybody can help me out you would be my best friend. :)

WTF? how did your nand backup get deleted? what do you even mean by that?

i was cleaning up my pc and made a mistake :(
i found a way to decrypt and manually delete with hxd and tempnand, but how do i re encrypt?
wait, so you deleted your backup? dunno if you know this, but with hiyaCFW you can use a decryped emunand so that you dont have to flash things straight into the nand and risk brick

i was trying to install hiya when this happened...
but its ok now.
i went into a hex editor on the decompiled nand and messed with the headers for unlaunch...
no biggie.
i modded it for fun tho :P

Not sure I understand what your talking about but that image shows the unlaunch boot loader. Also name your boot.nds (that you used to flash unlaunch) "bootcode.dsi" if you want to reflash your nand. If you can't boot off of your nand.

Decided to give GBARunner 2 a go, but have an issue here. Once the app is loaded, it shows me some roms which are in GBA folder already. Bios is also there. Once i choose a rom and press A nothing happens - just a white screen. On the lower screen at the top it says "Loadrd IO Library". Any help? Using DSi 1.4.0 with generic R4i clone.

Place Bios in SDCard root.

i have placed roms and bios on gba folder and now i have a black screen it can read only one rom?

Place Bios in SDCard root.
Will do, thanks! I'll edit this comment with results.
Also, which ver should I choose for DSi? ARM7 or ARM9? What are those wramicache versions?

EDIT. Placed the bios into the root, still the same issue - white screen with the same string at the top. Also tried to patch the rom (it's Zelda LttP) - doesn't work.

Did you check if your rom has any rom intro attached? They utilize code that is currently not supported by gbarunner2.

did you rename the bios to bios.bin?

Well, not sure about the intro, however both Zelda's are on the wiki - list (marked as "Runs great" or smt).

Yes, tried different bios'es, all named exactly bios.bin, no luck.

On a dsi the arm7 version should be used. The wramicache version is an attempt to speed up games, but does not work for all games. Iirc if the bios cannot be found it will give an error before even showing your roms. Also, as long as you don't see a bios intro, your rom should not be the issue, cause it would crash after the bios instead.

I find it still rather strange when loading the rom or bios appearently fails, but it can read the folders just fine
Did you try reformatting?

You should be using a GBA bios with GBARunner2.

Edit: (1000th comment on thread!)
