Hey.

I've been experimenting with my AKRPG for a while now, and here's a thought I've had for a couple of features (and it's damn impressive this is pretty much all I could come up with!)[*]....we're able to stick a GBA frame in the theme folder which is all fine and well...but how about an override on a per-game basis, like the file type icons? I'd love to have custom frames on my favourites...Super Gameboy stylee.[*]File visibility. There are 3 options, NDS, NDS+SAV, and All. The first two don't show GBA games and the last shows everything. Show hidden files can be kludged by marking all files of undesired types as hidden and turning it off....but that's ugly. Roughly what I want to see is all .NDS and .GBA but no .SAVs, but I feel a better way forward is to have a config setting defining a list of types to hide. that way I can still see my NDSes, my GBAs, my TXTs, but not my SAVs unless I turn on the all files option. Now, I'd like to have a bash at coding those myself..but I'm still quite new to devkitpro, and I'm still trying to figure out how to build gelu's firmware as it seems to use some non-standard libs that are causing me grief. Still, I'd be cool if anyone felt inclined to have a go so I'm covered if/when I fail

On another thought, the 3in1 support is great, but I have an interesting problem. I bought two 3in1s, a lite-sized one, and a full-sized one for my Phat, GBA, and GC. As the AK stores the path of the current GBA save loaded into the 3in1 so it knows where to write it back to, this obviously goes wrong when you switch between 3in1s (though helpfully easier to manage with the features in the newer custom firmware menus). I wonder then if there any way of storing an identifier on the 3in1 so the firmware could tell them apart when it reads it back in? Dunno. Just a thought.

Anyway, thanks a bunch to all those who work on the custom firmwares. You guys make this funky little card rock all the more.

we can't program crap for people who have multiple 3in1s.
welcome to the "million possibilities and you found one of them"
no identifier on multiple 3in1s, use exploader for that kind of narrowing down.

if you have a 3in1 inserted at startup, GBA games will show up. that's how file listing is set.

when you have your 'set file list type' set to 'NDS' your gba games will show too, at least with akaio they do

Ah ok. I've only been playing with AKAIO briefly. Most of my playing has been with the stock firmware. It might be more intuitive to label it as something else then, if more than just NDS files get shown. I still think having a set list would be handy though. I'd like to hide things like .bak files automatically for a start. But anyway, ta.

No offence dude, but that comes across as slightly hostile? Sorry if I've annoyed you somehow, but all you had to say was "no, no way of telling them apart" or even just leaving off the top two lines. Like I said, the handy features you've already got for controlling the automatic GBA sav saving on load means using an explicit proggie like exploader is possible once the menu's up. Without preventing the automatic saving my Advance Wars save would get overwritten by my NSMB save or something.

Anyway, thanks for your work.
