gateway mode only installs to emuNAND...to boot into emuNAND you need the red gateway card inserted...your best bet would be to launch into gateway mode with your friends gateway card..install devmenu as a cia and use that to install other cia's...remove the card and don't turn it off or ever enter settings.

*You can run emuNAND without the red card but you can't boot into emuNAND without the red card*

0. Downgrade sysNAND to 4.5 (take backup first!)
1. Format emuNAND with gateway launcher
2. Install devMENU with Gateway card
3. Use MT card launcher to boot into said emuNAND using classic mode, no cart required
4. profit cash money, start making a Gateway rental service

You might be getting emuNAND mixed up with the Gateway Launcher...
It's not impossible to launch gateway mode without the red card
gateway just adds a check to make sure you have the red card...
They are a business after all

That won't work. MT's classic mode doesn't patch sig checks. It'll just tell you to redownload bigbluemenu, etc. from the eshop.

Don't think that's true, since it's the same exact emuNAND that BBM was installed on. For example, I have my 9.2 sysNAND backup installed as emuNAND and booting with MT and I can boot all SD card titles just fine.

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar

Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)

Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
