Hacking [Gateway] MicroSD card size recommendation?

I am purchasing a set of Gateway flashcarts this weekend for my 2DS, and I was curious which size I should get. I am purchasing other things this weekend, so don't go crazy saying I should get a 32GB or something. I was thinking about getting an 8GB, but that seems a bit big. I don't really mind having one game on the microSD, and switching it to others when I choose.

Must you have the game on your microSD while creating XORPADS for .CIA conversion, or is it put on the SD? I already have an SD that is 16GB, so I'd very much enjoy using that. If this is true, is 4GB enough for just ONE game to be on the microSD at a time?

4gb for one game each time? sure, but you'll miss out on multi rom
i'd like to remind you that 32gb is dirt cheap, on amazon they're 12 pounds

To creating xorpads, YOU NEED a device with 4.x. You can doengrade 3ds and 3ds xl but NO 2ds to 4.x, because 4.x dont work with 2ds
