Hacking Gateway menu sort of loads then disappears 9.2.0 Original 3DS

I've attached a video to better explain what's going on, it's quite slow so feel free to skip ahead. I just got this today and went ahead formatting my SD and downloading the Launcher.DAT and put it on my newly formatted SD card. I formatted a separate MicroSD put that in the red cart put everything in my 3DS and booted into the gateway menu. While in the menu I did a backup of my NAND then booted into gateway mode, I didn't bother checking much after that and I went ahead and booted down my system so I could save the backup of my NAND. I just tried the exploit again and now the menu sort of loads but then it just goes away and puts me in the system menu. I'm really clueless as to what to do now as I haven't really messed around with 3DS firmware and whatnot. Any help would be very much appreciated!
