Hacking Gateway Exploit Suddenly Gone From My 3DS

yeah i will admit they do have a fairly higher than average failure rate even when compared to other crappy R4 clones, been so many people with broke cards, i understand not including a top of the line NDS card, but they could at least make them reliable.....hopefully that's something that's already been fixed, as i heard they where switching manufacturers due to high failure rates back when all the stocks where drying up, not sure if that was just in regards to the red card thoughl

Yeah, the only thing I havent tried is reformatting the SD, just because I'm not particularly worried about it, I'm giving it to him free so if he can get it working awesome, if not oh well it was free.

Sure we would need a 5$ cheap cart to install the exploit once..or use a new save game exploit like the one ssspwn would use(not necessarily the same one but you get the jist)..and yes although we would be stuck at a starting point of 4.5 it would be easier for developers to use rednand and find exploits in newer firmwares than buying a 70$ cart just to explore for exploits in newer firmwares.

**FOR EXAMPLE** If yifan Lu (just and example) would want to look around for exploits there is no way he's going to buy a gateway just for that, and the only people that can achieve this state (any kind of cart less cfw) are people who aren't just gonna share this delicate info with anyone. So if a new hacker just walks in and decides he wants to look around the 3ds the easiest possible way to start exploring newer firmwares is blocked from his access unless he has a 70 pirate card or the 3ds scene guys give him all their info..doubtful lol( I realize yifan Lu is a bad example as the 3ds scene guys would probably share their info with such a highly known hacker but again I'm pretty sure you all get the jist)

I have no idea how i even started this rant it's just i find it so annoying that nowadays fear of piracy(which is a perfectly good excuse, that coupled with the fact that they don't have to release anything they do on their free time) ruins scenes. Especially when it's limited to the exact same and only firmwares that piracy is allowed on, god the irony.

yeah, but see anyone wanting to make their own exploit would no doubt have the skill to just figure out how gateway have set it up and would simply either replicate the work or just hack the gateway launcher to do so, plenty of people now have red nand style setups stark even has a rom loader set up too (he isnt releasing before anyone pesters him),

but you get the point hacking 4.x would be a simple warm up for anyone looking to hack higher firmwares
