Nothing was ever official, but people are speculating they meant the first week of last year, which ends on wednesday

Even if they release in the next few days. Damage done, they clearly weren't ready for the christmas market but decided to hype the release anyway, just to get huge sales.

The delay OBVIOUSLY means it's not so simple for them, and there will almost certainly be issues that will impact sales once the release is made, like, er, maybe no EMUNAND on 9.X.
