So the site is fully fixed up and working perfectly, only thing that needs to be fixed is when the website goes down it will notify you (this could be taken as a good or a bad thing).

Now for some opinions....

How often do you think i should recheck gateways feed on there site for changes? (Please be realistic) It is currently every 5 minutes.

Also, how often do you think my site should refresh the status? (again realistic) it is currently every 60 seconds.

might i suggest loading up to the end of the first "</a>", if the feed is just links to their news updates?
Would be nice to save them a bit or two each time.

I am working on performance improvements, the code for it is currently in PHP and it grabs the page through get_file_contents which makes it a bit harder to do that.
