it saysgw fastboot installer with a arrow/lightning bolt with A9

or does this brick/tell me how this works?

not sure if it brick, but as they said in their website it's not stable and don't work on newest firmware.

If you have a Gateway card I'll put it somewhere else before they update their stuff. (not sure if they'll do but who know)

i only use it for 11.2 emunand but thanks again!

Honestly you just shouldn't even use the Gateway anymore. They've basically vanished months ago and are patches behind.
The community has moved past A9LH and we are on B9S now. As well Gateway is limited to OFW 11.2, where as we are now on 11.5. It's actually getting kind of sad at this point.

You can convert your cheats using Gateshark2NTR and move to NTR CFW Selector, it works on any CFW and works on lastest OFW.

NTR has Gateway cheats. You can always convert Gateshark codes to NTR plugins.

Kinda hijacking this thread, but is there any way to easily transfert GW emunand datas to a CFW? Every solution that I saw back in the day were very tedious so my o3ds is still on a deprecated firmware...

Is there really any advantage to using Luma+B9LS though other than just "it works on the shiny new things"? My 3DS is on A9LH with Gateway emunand 10.6 and the only thing that doesn't work for me is installing the update to Ever Oasis. Why fix something that isn't broken?

Luma, as people have mentioned, has more features, plus it allows for playing games that will be released in the future and has better support, and then there's Rosalinda which can basically make homebrew better. Plus Gateway's A9LH sucks (it IS broken) and A9LH itself is no longer supported.

E. The only legitimate good use of gateway nowadays is cheats.

Actually the new parts are the benefits to the Luma3DS or ReiNAND+B9S. Because Gateway hasn't been updating, they are going to start loosing support for future games. Nintendo has been known to add NATIVE_FIRM requires and recently with Ever Oasis they added a new encryption to the games. These issues are are going to start becoming more predominate as time goes on until Gateway actually updates.
Gateway is breaking and their lack of updates are starting to chip away at it.

Well, it is broken.

• You have to use an emuNAND
• If you boot Gateway mode on updated sysNAND your CFW will be erased
• You can't play GBA or DSi games
• You can't use game cartridges
• You have to stay on a lower firmware because Gateway still doesn't support anything after 11.2
• Gateway costs money

None of these disadvantages are present for free CFW users.

I meant more for my specific case

• You have to use an emuNAND -- So? I haven't had any problems with emunand other than not being able to update
• If you boot Gateway mode on updated sysNAND your CFW will be erased -- A9LH autoboots me to emunand, and I never install updates anyways, so that doesn't bother me
• You can't play GBA or DSi games -- I don't play them anyways
• You can't use game cartridges -- Using Gateway and CIAs is more convenient anyways, less things to carry around
• You have to stay on a lower firmware because Gateway still doesn't support anything after 11.2 -- Yes this part bothers me a little, but only because of the possibility of new games no longer working
• Gateway costs money -- I already paid for it, so that's a moot point

I didn't use Gateway's stupid broken FastBoot or whatever they call it, I installed normal A9LH a while ago and set up some sort of Luma chainloader thing to make it autoboot Gateway. it's worked for me with 100% success rate so far.
Luma has more features like what? Anything actually useful enough to warrant giving up the extra 64GB memory card and the excellent cheat feature?
