Hey there got a 3ds for dirt cheap.Powerlight comes on takes in charge, but no display, sound.Opened it and found out the r1 and l1 cables are missing. What fix can i do to resurrect this.Do i need to change the display or will installing new ribbons work.Cant even try to go into safe mode.L1,R1 aint working, both ribbon are torn.Suggest me some fix yall, quite new here.A mate if mine suggested that i need to change the top assembley
Moreover also does the wireless switch slide down automatically when pushed up.Need a list of parts that i may need to change

Heres a picture of the internals:

Looks like water damage -- corrosion and red indicator material. Water damage can cause every problem imaginable.

Please try:
  • Remove WiFi board and plug it back in. If it isn't seated correctly nothing will work
  • ntrboot into GodMode9
Unplugging ribbon cables to the upper screen assembly wouldn't be my first idea. There is a lot that can go wrong. If those cables aren't connected correctly the console will shut off after a second.

Trying software methods -- ntrboot -- first can help with diagnosis.
