Hacking Gateway 3DS: Real vs. Fake Cards

Yeah,I can see the difference between them,which is the sticker on the both Gateway Cards(Compare it side by side),Glad I have the Ori one lol

No, the difference is on the cart itself. Check the board, the first one is black while the second one is blue.
There seems to be something sticking out of the first one on the underside of the sticker, but mine as none of that.

I spotted two differences:

1) PCB Colour (Original is Light Blue, Clone is Black)
2) Pin 8 of the 3DS Cart (Original is extended, like the end pins, Clone is shortened, even further than the other regular pins)

The second point should make it easier to identify the cards than the first though.

But yes, that makes the myth of fake GW cards indeed true, unfortunately.

And just realized that the pins aligned are different. In the original cart, one pins is more extended then the other pins, but for the clone, the pin is shorter than the others.

Now I just need to know where I can find a legit GW. Sucks that there actually are fake ones out there.

The Mt Card isn't a fake. The card have a own fw,updates etc.

I think you have your imgs the wrong way round the top one is fake with short 8 pin the bottom one is real with 8 longer pin. Sorry my bad you told him above dude! I noticed it as well for a minute I thought I had a fake looking at the pictures I was like WOOT!!!

yeah i looked at the pics and was like...WHAAA i bought mine from realhotstuff and its got to be legit cuz im using multirom! and then i seen the coments about the pics being messed up...phew!
