Just tested Zelda, my emunand is working great once I'm in.

Booting into emunand, not so great. 4 boots, two fine, two crash (lines on screen). Oh well, I guess it's Beta for a reason. I can live with that.

oh so you also face those "lines on screen" issues ? I myself sometimes face such issues but not only with emunand though...

When choosing the "Format EmuNAND" option, your 3DS SD card is reformatted. It'll end up housing the emulated NAND, taking 1 GB of space, and another partition that will work like it did previously. Files can't be kept in the process, though, so you need to make a backup.

Quoted for visibility, as that's what I came into the comments to make sure I understood. :)

Anyone know how to open the gateway 3ds without breaking the plastic cases? I found where I can buy SPI flash from so I can solder in a new one.

Thanks

Does your stuff properly works in the first place ? As I said, I also got all those tests failing but mine is still working as it should...

so if we dont make emunand now and update it to 6.x before nintendo release a new fw where emunand may be blocked , then we are shit out of luck i guess, the only method for updating emunand is through online update, so what happens when you can no longer update to 6.x online but only to fw that might block emunand?

also is there a rom dumper in this release

Can you download Phoenix Wright in the eShop now since you can go to emuNAND on 6.3.

Seems like that is working perfectly. Downloading Pokemon from the eShop as I write this.

The only problem is that foreign players with an American 3DS have issues with payment over the eShop and need to buy redeem cards (due to taxes and being unable to add credit cards thanks to their zip system). But other than that it seems to have worked fine.

I'll come back with further information soon enough.

I am confirming retail carts still dont work while in gateway mode

From the aptly named README
"We have also included an option to boot into Classic mode that enables genuine retail gamecards and the emuNAND functionality, allowing it to run like a regular 3DS on latest firmware. "

you can play pokemon and animal crossing if you own the retail cards via classic mode. but with gateway mode, currently not

for those reading: POKEMON AND ANIMAL CROSSING DO NOT WORK!!! anyway, as my post was to originally say: the beta looks awesome, can not wait for the full release which will (hopefully) have a ROM dumping feature. Funny thing is I asked them a few days ago if 2.0 would have it, they responded today with "it's out now".
