Etrian Odyssey.

You create a five character party from nine different classes, and then you can customize each character via their skills.

You can have a Alchemist who is good with fire, or maybe good with ice, or just OK with both.

Literally allows you to draw your own character.

How do you actually define customization features? Coz yeah, you can draw your own character but can you actually customize anything else? Of course, I could be wrong because I didn't play Drawn to Life for long...

*points to the array of hex editors. Best customisation tools there is. Thanks for the list too as it gives me an idea of where to start next. A rebalanced version of custom robo sounds like a plan (either that or medabots or robopon for the GBA).

Izuna: unemployed ninja. Almost old school dungeon crawler.

Homebrew I know but POWDER. I have yet to see of a commercial offering with more.

That list is an awesome idea.

I'd say tWEWY is more of an RPG than a Beat-em-Up though.

I think you got all the ones I can think of... FF Crystal Chronicles and Custom Robo are the main ones that come to mind.

I'm not planning on adding homebrew games, but I guess I could take a shot at it if people want them in the list. I don't play any, so I'm not familiar with them at all.

(Falling Sand games are the exception to the "ignorance rule", since I've played them on the computer)

lots of customization (robot parts, weapons, items, paint, etc)

I definitely have to add that. I've played it before, but I forgot about it because I lose interest in turn-based games pretty quickly.

I'm on the fence with this one too... You DO get to draw your own character and a few parts of the stage, but everything else is completely linear.

Adding... (I missed this one for the same reason I missed Front MIssion. xP)

Izuna is a mystery dungeion game, isn't it? I thought it was pretty linear. (You can pick up items and use them a few times, but that's not customization.)

I was referring to the combat system, but I really should have noted that. Thanks for the tip!

Tony Hawks American SK8land.. let's you paint your skateboard, make custom graffiti and add your own voice to your character..

I forgot about Tony Hawk games. The last few have been pretty generous with the customization features. I can't believe I missed them!

QUOTE(ZeroEXE93 @ May 6 2008, 01:52 PM) Come to think of it, probably all RPGs are customizable (although only a handful have "great customization features")

You have a point. Eventually, I'll have to remove and add them based on how customizable they are and/or how well the customization is implemented. I will keep some games just for their sheer amount of customization possibilities (Custom Robo Arena), some games for well-implemented customization features (Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates), and some for both (The World Ends With You, Jump! Ultimate Stars).

Iron Man has customization, although not very huge.

You can upgrade the suit with different power-ups which make your laser/shield/rocket/whatever other weapon stronger and your speed higher, but I don't think it's enough to get on the list.

Dragon Quest monsters deserves a spot in my opinion.
You can evolve monsters (but only when you combine 2 monsters, like DNA digivolving from Digimon) and choose which abilities they obtain from their "parents". You can level up these abilities, choose which stats you want to upgrade, give them weapons (do not show up during battles) and learn them new abilities by using items. And of course you can catch loads of monsters.

Digimon does aswell in my opinion. You can catch a huge amount of monsters, evolve them, train them, give them items to hold and you can raise their stats individually (probably wrote that wrong...) at the digifarm. Another good or bad thing is that every digimon can get their stats all the way up to 999, same with DQ monsters and unlike pokemon where every pokemon has bounderies. The plus side to this is that every monster is useable. Where in pokemon your better off only using the higher tier ones. Some people don't like it though, because it doesn't matter if you have incredibly rare monsters or random monsters that you can find at the first areas. (except for the non-teachable moves of course)

Well, from what I've heard from my parents, he had a seizure last night, perhaps an epileptic episode, fucking died, had a near death experience, my dad called the paramedics, they showed up, took him to the hospital, and he woke up covered in tubes, and started complaining.
