Hello,

I'm a happy Wii owner, but unhappy with it having a D3-2 DVD Drive.

I'd like to know if there's a way to play Gamecube backups using this kind of Wii, Either by USB HDD or by burning a DVD disk. As far as I could research, this kind of DVD Drive won't read any kind of recordable media.

Is there any possibility to run GC backups with this Wii?

Thanks in advance

Ehm, sorry but as far as I know, nope.

Not through DVD drive, because it´s blocked from factory to read any non-legal disk. So if you want GC, you have to wait until a GC USB app is written.

Also there are tools like WODE, but you need to modify wii´s hardware to install it.

This is like playing "whack a mole"............
No, never ever.
No Wii backups, no Gamecube backups, no movie backups. NOT FROM DISC. NEVER.
Now, USB loading, MAY come in the near future for Gamecube.
Wii games and movies = USB loading only.

Perhaps using SNEEK+DI?

That's for Wii games. DIOS MIOS is DI for GC games, essentially.

USB Loading in SNEEK via the disc channel.
