Hi!

I am looking for your help, I have difficulties with playing GC games. I followed the tutorial on this forum called "How to SoftMod a Wii to Play Backup Wii, Gamecube and Wiiware Games". Everything works fine (Wii games via USB, HBC, emulators, etc) execpt GC games.

I tried to load the games from USB HDD, SD, backup disks, with the following applications: USB Loader GX, CFG USB loader, Gecko OS, Neogamma, Wii's own disk loader.

I always get black screen, I guess something is missing on my softmodded Wii to load GC games, but I can't figure out what it is.

Thanks

Well, if you want to use Dios MIOS as suggested by the tutorial, I think you should make sure first that both BC and DM are properly installed and in its latest version, check previously the compatibility of each game in Dios MIOS Compatibility List, also verify that game images are properly named and in the correct folders (i.e. \games\[GameID]\game.iso), and preferably use Dios MIOS Booter for the first testing of the games.

You forgot to mention that many hard drive do not work with DM

DM is pretty much outdated nowadays. Nintendont suppots bluetooth controllers, audio streaming, and much better game compatibility then DM.

Hello! Thank you for all the answers. I checked the HDD, and I found the problem, it's such a noob thing, it's kinda awkward to tell you :)
So, the HDD wasn't set to pirmary, it was logical. I used Easeus Partition Master to change it without reformatting the drive, and now everything works fine. I wasn't thinking of this before, because the Wii games worked well with every loader I have.

By the way, as far as I know USB Loader GX uses Dios Mios for loading GC games, thats why I didn't try it separately.
