Gaming game won't work

Ok, i got the game final fantasy crystal chronicles echoes of time but and i just started. I tried to save my game so after i started but it says that it can't save the game and that i have to turn it off and then reinsert the game card. Any suggestions?

I heard that there was piracy protection on this game and that if you wanted to be able to save you need to patch it with a patch.

Use the cheat.dat for whichever card you have at http://cheats.gbatemp.net and enable the anti piracy code.
