Hacking Game sort of...freezes? (Fatal Frame 4)

Hi, I softmodded my wii recently (I'm a total noob to be honest) in order to play Fatal frame VI: Mask of the Lunar eclipse, but every time I try to play using an USB loader (I've used USB loader gx, version 3.0 r1268, Neogamma, and Wiiflow), it gets sort of "frozen" in the intro chapter, after the first key. I can't move the character or use the wiimote at all except for the home button, the game is still running though; the lighting flickers and there is movement in the background. Honestly I'm at a loss of what to do. I'm running a 4.3U softmodded Wii.

You can also use ==> Configurable loader v70, like Loader, it works fine.

Do not use USB keys, prefer an external hard drive.

Exact same problem for me. Using a hdd from usb. Freezing at exactly the same place

Update: my second time playing, oddly enough, it didn't freeze at that part, and the game actually made it to the title screen. I didn't do anything differently, just didn't touch the controls until well after the cut scene finished.

I'm not sure this is the case, but some games can have these kind of issues when you set your savegames to Emu Nand.

Same issue for me as well, would love to know if anyone has been able to fix this.

Edit: After doing the hex edit on the iso required to get the game running on dolphin, I tested it again on my Wii and was able to progress past this section with the cutscene playing to completion.

To clarify, what point does it freeze? I just tested it on my Wii (english translation patch applied, 4.3U, WFL, native save) and I was able to get the first key, and go through its corresponding door.
