Hacking Homebrew Homebrew menu freezing while in-game

Hi, I'm experiencing a problem with the Homebrew menu. when I try to open the menu via the album icon while inside a game to access *applet mode* (for using edizon for exemple) the switch crash, i can still open the side menu (sleep, change volume and light) but nothing works, cannot put to sleep, power off, restart, or quit game, jsut stay frozen on the switch menu without any icon...
and need to force restart the switch by holding the power button.

The strange thing is that I can perfectly access the homebrew menu in applet mode via the album while NOT inside a game, I can also access it while pressing R+game, no problems at all, it's only while inside a game that the problem happens.
Tried deleting homebrew.nro, downloaded a new one. reinstalling atmosphere, nothing seems to work.

condition:
EMUMMC 15.0.0 / atmosphere 1.4.0 / hbl 2.4.3 / homebrew menu 3.5.1

It's probably running out of memory

tried with 3 games. . . all of them frooze the menu

Are you running latest atmosphere and hbmenu? Have you tried doing a clean atmosphere install?

I'm having the same problem, waiting for a solution as well. I found an issue on github that says its from running too many sysmodules, but I don't have any that I'm not actually using (DVR/ftp/edizon/emiibo).

For me, disabling SaltyNX fixed it, but it sounds more likely to be about the total memory being used by the sysmodules than about one module in particular.

You are right! I disabled all my useless sysmodules and it works again. Thanks!

you boys have ftpd lite on when using salty + some overlay ? Just turn ftpd off.
