Well I though of an idea, where we could post the kind of game we want and other tempers could suggest some games.

I'm posting mine but um... everyone post their wanted kind of game and lets help eachother out
gbasp.gif
.

Systems available: Xbox 360, PC
Genre: Don't mind, could be 2d, 3d whatever.
What I want: An (endless) survival game involving things such as gathering food, a bit of combat and open world, there was some DS games i forgot where you were on an island and did something similar but i forgot their name and played them already. Multiplayer would be cool but not necessary. Imagine something like a long term l4d game where you had to survive for days.

Do you mean games released around the same time as WoW?
WoW have expansions which made it more interesting. i think there is a 3rd expansion out there but not familiar with it. i kinda stopped playing PC games for more than a year now because of the wii. but definitely would go back to PC games. i also miss PC games lately.

Systems Available:
Xbox 360, PC, DS (I MIGHT be able to use it, since it's my brother's)
Genre(s)/What I Want:
Adventure (Games like Gauntlet
wub.gif
, Zelda, and Pokemon)

Action (Vigilante 8 or Twisted Metal style games)

Puzzle (I like any kind of creative puzzle, not things like Crosswords and Sudoku, but like Tetris and Polarium)

Role Playing (I don't like RPGs where you just repetitively go into battles or grind a lot, but I do like turn based games)

Strategy (I love RTSes that aren't too detailed, but still fun and easy to play)

Shooter (Nearly any kind of FPS, especially ones with a lot of customization and depth in the story, multiplayer is a plus, but not needed...I also like any kind of Shoot 'Em Up game, whether it's vertical, horizontal, first-person, third-person, etc.)

Age of Empires 2 and Command and Conquer 3 are the best RTSes I have ever played. Both on PC.

CoD MW 1 and 2 is kind of applicable to this. 360 or PC.

I have both on PC, and MW2 on my 360...I also have CoD: WaW, Borderlands, and Halo 3 for my 360, just so no one else mentions those.

Well Fallout 3 is a mix between RPG (not too much grinding) and FPS (deep story, loads of customization)
No multiplayer though, but the game is absolutely amazing!
Did you like Oblivion? Then you will like this too.

i thought everybody knew cocktails are like 75% ice
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Yeah but not like this.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's not like they're complaining that their Slurpee is 99% ice or something, but if the cocktail calls for "shot of vodka, shot of vermouth, shot of gin, shot of Campari, three shots of juice, squirt of lemon" and ends up being a thimbleful of booze, that's a problem.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the funny thing is cocktails in norway are only allowed to have 1 20ml shot of booze
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    so..... yeah
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
we're used to only having a thimbleful of booze
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Booo.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
same thing if you want whisky on the rocks or something, you can't get a double
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but you could buy as many shots of whisky (or anything else) as you want and ask for a glass of ice and pour them in
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    it's dumb
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Maybe.

There was a comparison of the number of Ibuprofen poisonings before and after they limited the maximum dosage per box or per pill (i'll look that up). No limit on the number of boxes you can still buy as many as you want, so people argued it was pointless.
  • Veho @ Veho:
But the number of (accidental) poisonings dropped because drinking an entire package of ibuprofen pills went from "I need a new liver" to "I need a new box of Ibuprofen".
  • Veho @ Veho:
Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Usually accidentally overdose of ibuprofen here is from people taking like cold medicine then ibuprofen for a headache and the combination is over what they need
