Homebrew Friend just bought a 2ds and is having issues with the browser

My friend just bought a 2ds, his 2ds is on 11.0.0-33 U and he's been asking for my help but I have been searching around the internet for a solution. I havent found anything that could possibly help him.

He is trying to access browser hax on 11.0.0 but he keeps on getting the "You have to update if you want to use the browser" message. I told him to try the date thing just in case but, obviously that didn't work. He wants to get into homebrew so he can run wait hax. He doesn't really have any way to go out and get another exploit like cubic ninja. I think I might just have to tell him to wait for sound hax.

Any Solutions?

How are they supposed to use a hax app without hax? The browser hax is broken. You can't do much on 11.0

You need another entrypoint, no other way. If you can find a second 3ds that is exploitable, you can install a hacked save to a cartridge. Oot3d, sticker star, pokemon super mystery dungeon, and pokemon ORAS. Though all the exploitable dsi games have been been pulled from the eshop.

Yeah that's what I figured, I think I have to either wait for a new exploit or just wait till winter break is over so I can install menu hax for him

What is the idea of him running waithax anyway? He can't downgrade without one of the four exploitable games that have been pulled. There's no way for you to downgrade now unless another exploit is released that works in conjuction with waithax but doesn't require the four games. I'm hopeful about the 33c3 on 27th-30th of December .. maybe we'll hear about some soon-to-be-released exploits that work on the later firmwares.
