I know what you mean. We could just make a series of frames that can be displayed one after another in the background to make it look like a flash video. Oh, and musturd, shouldn't you be in school right now?

Oh, so you're not still in high school (or lower) like most of the people here. My mistake. So, how is the game going? Will there be a new demo soon?

Hey everyone. I just wanted to let you all know that I've begun working on a new guitar. Try to guess what model it is. It shouldn't be too hard to figure out.
laugh.gif

It looks a little iffy right now, but once I do some dithering (glad that most of us like this style), and polish up the edges, it will look much better. I think I'm done for the night, but I'll be here all day tomorrow, so I will definitely get this done then. I think it is going to be really great.

I know that we are going to need an options screen sooner or later. These are the things I know of that we will need in the menu so far:
-guitar selection
-grip vs. no grip (having one version that can do both would be really neat)
-strumming on/off (some others have asked for this, and I think that it would be a nice feature, because of my messed up shoulder. That way I can still play if I start experiencing some pain.
smile.gif
)
-lefty flip
-a bunch of other things that can't think of right now.

So, after I make the new guitar, should I make an options screen, or should I just wait until we have all of the features in the game?

i've been following this since the other topic on guitar hero, but never bothered to register. I've seen afew people asking for custom button combinations for the no grip.

so another menu branching off from the no grip could be to pick a button combination which you prefer? because i for one prefer using the D pad, such as in the hack that was for guitar hero on tour. eq: L = green, R = red, D = yellow, U = blue.

i think in one of the back posts someone asked for a custom button combination but they got ignored. so if it is easy enough to do, can it be programmed in with all the different combinations which we like so that way it is of easy use for everyone wihtout having to adjust much?

Shouldn't you add this to the list: that we can change the fretz, so we can have that pyramid, rock band and others.

Yes I am. In high school, not lower. But my school starts late.

I will NOT have a playable demo by friday (I leave Saturday morning). I can release my code so far if anyone is interested, though.
It's actually not that hard to have the sound playing in the arm7. I think I'm going to have to use the libnds for the arm7 (which is a lot harder than PALib, but I know basic libnds stuff. I can code the arm9 in PALib though. For those who have know idea what I am talking about, don't bother figuring it out.

That involves 3D stuff, which happens to be above my knowledge -- maybe wazmo knows, though.

I'm really busy right now with other stuff, so I most likely won't get the guitar done today. I might be back later to work on it though. Does anyone have a guess as to what kind it is?

okay, when you strum and hit the note you can hit it again. You can hold down all the buttons it doesn't check if the other buttons are up. The easy way to PWN the game is to strum like crazy and hold down all the buttons

Good job Don Tonberry. I was going for the Les Paul look. That guitar is just too awesome to not be in this game.

I know that this is going to make me sound dumb and off-topic, but how does everyone get those FretFury bars in their sig? I would like to have the one that says FretFury Team. It is probably a lot easier than I realize, but I can't figure it out. Thanks to anyone that helps me out. I'm such a noob when it comes to internet stuff.
happy.gif

EDIT: Nevermind I figured it out.
smile.gif
It was a lot easier than I thought it would be. So the bar is just a .GIF huh? I think I'm going to try my hand at making something like this for those of us that are on the FretFury Team. Also, is there a way to make it so that people can't just put the Team bar in their sig? I don't want just anyone to have it. Only those of us that earn one should be able to use it. Thanks again to anyone that helps me out with this.

Oh, OK. Thank you. I guess we'll just have to trust people to not claim they are on the team when they really aren't.

I will maybe make a bar like this tomorrow. Right now I'm working the Les Paul guitar.

), but I'm going to work on it some more tomorrow. Right now, I need to go to sleep. Bye!

Been following this for a while, looking forward to it... instead of trying to stop people from claiming they are part of the team (has that even been an issue), go design some guitars!!!
