Hacking Freezing upon trying to open Cheats Menu

I've encountered this problem a few times, but it's still annoying. I've tried using both a usrcheat.dat and cheat.dat format. But every time i try to open it, it just freezes the system. Anyone got an answer on how to solve this?

Edit: MrFatso told me to sort the cheat database, immediately fixed the problem.
