my freeshop is not working i have luma9.1 run freeshop 4.1.3 and is not working where i can download games in mi old 2ds?

Is ok to update to 11.8?

To get freeShop working again, try following this tutorial. It's safe to use freeShop on firmware 11.8 as long as you don't download in sleep mode.

No, freeshop still works. It's certain 1st party games that are blocked from download. Games that aren't block can still be retrieved.

ummm... You know... there is ways to converting a .3ds to a .cia right? I mean, godemode9 can do that without any hassle. And then you have sites I cannot name.
And getting a r4 only works for ds games, not 3ds. (unless your talking a sky3ds plus) but it's kind of pointless getting one.

freeShop is NOT dead. Only certain 1st title games are blocked that'll cause it to crash.

If the only reason you want to hack a console is to pirate, you need to look at the big picture. You can play Homebrew games, use game mods, home menu themes, wireless streaming, and emulators. You need to think beyond saving a few bucks.

so just doing a cfw and noticed the titlekey enc website is down (after quick google search, seams was shut down a week ago)
so.... now what to do for backups

1.just manually download game.cia or games.3ds then use godmode to convert to .cia
2.what about bans has there been any bans yet ?

i know with doing free shop games there where never any bans

3.but what about downloading games.cia are those as safe as going threw freeshop?

4. if they install are they safe/if they dont install means not safe ..??

If you have any questions after reading, ask away.

The checks only occur at install time while downloading from their CDN (like freeShop does), and the checks that actually send console info that could get you banned occur while using the NIM module, and that module is used on sleep downloads.

In short, previously downloaded games are fine, and installing not-blocked titles (here is a list) not on sleep downloads is fine too.

The FBI thing you misheard is for when all (or most) titles are blocked by Nintendo and you can't download them through freeShop. When that happens you'll have to look up the .cia of the game and install it through FBI.

Playing online is fine, except for cheats and unreleased games.

I recommend updating, as you won't lose anything. The changes are made serverside, so staying on a lower firmware version doesn't help.
