Hardware Forgot How To Load Games on SD Supercard for GBA

Hi all,

Ok, it's been a long while since I added games to my SD Supercard on my GBA SP. I added a few games recently and I thought all I had to do was just copy it onto the micro SD and I'd be good to go.

Unfortunately, I get a white screen and these games can't seem to load up.

The other games on the card load up just fine as it has been. Maybe I am supposed to create a .sav file?

What am I doing wrong? Is there a FAQ that explains how to load game files on the supercard? Is it a firmware issue?

I feel like such a dummy - any help on this is most appreciated!

from what i remember, you should first patch the games using a program from the official site
then you copy the game and the other archives to the microsd

Ahhh, it's coming back to me now. I am going to write it down on notepad and just keep it with my GBA games folder on my computer so I can refer to it.

Make sure you're using the latest firmware and patcher software, or at the very least, versions of each that were released with each other. The Supercard doesn't work well when you're on a new firmware and run games patched with older software, or vice versa.

Also, never ever let the patcher software output directly to your SD card, as that's known to cause issues. Output to your hard drive and copy them over manually.
