PS1/2 Force output resolution?

I got Mega Man X Collection and I'm having the same problem the rest of the internet seems to have where my TV doesn't support 240p on component.

So I'm wondering if there is some sort of hack/homebrew trick/action replay code to force it to run in 480p/i or 240i?

Can attempt to force any video mode you like. No guarantee it will work with that specific game though. You'll just have to try it.
