As far as I'm aware, sleep paralysis is normally a one off occasion for most people.
I haven't had it for a while, but I do get it sometimes; more than one occasion for me.

What, you're scared of foreign language?

It could have been a wrong number or something, but I guess when you were that age everything can seem a bit more scary.

In any case, about stories like these, some can be exaggerated, some still have a perfectly rational explanation, though come may even be true. Of the ones that are, the beings in question aren't long-lost people that come back as ghosts. Without help, dead people remain dead, there's no question about that, and what people experience are actually demons.
We filipinos usually say "Hello!" before everything else when we talk on the phone. But that old woman didn't. And that old woman did say "are they there yet?" in a very creepy way.

Saying hello first is customary in most places; considered polite but it's by no means compulsory. She could have been in a discussion minutes before and dialled the wrong number in continuation.

Just want to say that Allah = God in arabic, and is the same god as the christian (and jewish) one

Allah started off as just one of the idols at Mecca, one of the pre Islamic pantheon of pagan gods from the region. It becoming the same god as the Jews and Christians came later.

But back on topic. I've been with people when supernatural shit is apparently happening and have never picked up on anything myself but people working themselves into a paranoid frenzy.
That's an out-right lie. If you want to know, read the Qu'ran.

Just like the Bible the history in the Koran has being distorted or outright fabricated. And I don't trust the words of a paedophile madman.

Ans I've read both the Koran and the Hadith, and a lot of variations of the Bible. Though only in translations.

Though I will admit the fiction says he refused to enter until all the idols where removed from the Kaba.

I don't believe in the "paranormal", the human mind is merely very imaginative. You'll notice how most "supernatural" things seem to occur at night, when vision isn't exactly the clearest, senses are heightened and the mind must fill in blank.

Heh, used to work for a tourism venture at an old historic building. On the side they held ghost walks for the tourists, a few nights a week. During the informative tour of the building at night, I was paid to, out of sight, slam doors behind people, walk loudly up a flight of stairs, make lights flicker and a few other things. You'd be amazed how gullible and willing people are to believe.

You used the Bible as reference? You can use Bibles in a lot of very different ways, like to construct a shelve, a dog house, a bench, use it to nourish a fire, kill flies and other annoying insects and etc. But as reference for something?
QUOTE(pyrmon24 @ Nov 23 2010, 09:59 AM) By the way, from what I have read about the Qur'an in my religion class, there are no spirits or ghost because every soul is "stored" somewhere(don't remember where). But there are actually another species of creature that possesses free will and that is invisible to us. They would explain all the supernatural stuff. At least, that's what I recall.
So... The Qur'an is more credible than the Bible and, unlike the Bible, can be used as a reference for something?

Sorry if I'm wrong here, but the Qur'an, like the Bible, is written by Man. "Allah" didn't parachute down to Earth to write it, neither did he parachute down a Qur'an printed in Heaven for it to be replicated on Earth.

I mean c'mon man, you may not be a Christian, but hell, have some respect for other religions. Damn.

Oh, and cool irony there. You just contradicted yourself (Refer to the bold text)

Anyway back on topic, sometimes I have a strange sense of a foreign presence in a room I'm in. Heck sometimes I even feel a sudden unexplanable drop in temperature. It doesn't happen too often fortunately, and even more so when it doesn't occur at home.

or more explicitly paranormal... or supernateral or what have you: One time i woke up with a nagging message inside my head "the hidden mouse will be thy salvation" ... i had a power point presentation first thing in the morning... unfortunatly my work was... well... corrupted... to more specific, the micro SD i had the work on snapped in half... still that message stuck in my mind =_=; so much so that i even mentioned it to a friend... wouldent you know it the computer mouse was missing... which gave the me ability to present my work without the use of power point... the person who does the work after me finds the mouse inside a draw by complete coincidence

I believe in paranormal occurrences, but only maybe 1 or 2 have happened to me.

The only event I can recall is when I was sleeping one night (It was in 2007 I think), and I woke up because of a stomach ache, and when I opened my eyes, there was a silhouette of a tall man in front of my bed. Not DIRECTLY in front, since there was a dresser in front of it, but it seemed like it was standing IN the dresser. I didn't scream or anything, but I pulled my bedspread over my head and laid there for an hour or so before I fell back to sleep.

I've experienced other strange things, like frequently recurring dreams (I know of 3 that I can remember exactly), most of them being lucid dreams (Meaning I was aware it was a dream, and I was aware of my surroundings).

When did I say I was Muslim? I don't follow any major religion and I have great respect for every religion. I haven't used the Qur'an for reference, I simply talked about an interesting explanation to supernatural phenomenons that I read in it. And, from what I have read of it, the Qur'an IS more credible than the Bible. And just how did I contradict myself?

Not so paranormal but this is probably the closest to it in my life, about 2 or 3 years ago my mom sent me to take some presents to my aunt's house on Christmas eve. When I was driving back home in the evening it was very dark and the road was covered with ice and it was very slippery yet I was speeding +100km/h and then the realization suddenly kicked in: that I really have to slow down right now. It was a very strong feeling that came out of nowhere that something bad is going to happen unless I slow down immediately. And about 300 meters ahead there was a stock of reindeer walking on the road that I would have crashed into unless I hadn't slowed down.
