Well they asked for a 6 caracters zip code, in France we have 5 caracters zip code. So I put a space and then my real french zip code and it worked. Maybe they didn't check at all I don't know but it worked instantly.

I'll try it.

They say they want the zip code to check it against the credit card billing address zip code, but maybe they don't check it.

I used the same credit card to buy Japanese DSi points, they did not need a zip code then.

i doubt they check it

the zip code for the taxes thing i put in is different from the credit card billing i put it... but then again its both in california

i think it doesnt matter where the CC is from, they just want something that proves you own the card or something

Good tip. I can try that. We have a four digit zip code here.

Because of the region lock, I cannot find US on the list - Only England, Russia, New Zealand ....

I have tried all of them - The eShop doesn't work at all on 7 June!!

Should the eShop all well prepared working for any region or country before having the 3DS firmware updated??

What is happen here? Why just US region works???

people in europe have updated and succesfully used the eshop
if you already have put in a zip code that could be the reason
id delete the data from the 3ds in the system settings and try again

dont know if that will work, but its worth a shot if it doesnt work for you

I just used my Australian zip code with a 0 in front (for the credit card billing check), and it worked fine first time.

It didn't seem to matter that I put an Alaskan zip in before.

well yes, that's what i figured.

it seems to be a problem with nintendo's servers in my country / region, so i'll try again later

We need to be very clear here: Only the 3DS buy in US has the "zip code" item!

My 3DS is brought in Australia and don't have any such "zip code" thing - Very confusing....

I think the same problem for all the European user who don't have an US 3DS...

Idunno' if tax can be enforced when it's a digital thing and there's no actual product shipped across borders, there was confusion about tax for actual products shipped across states recently anyways.

When talking across country then yes you have to deal with export laws (especially around encryption), but Idunno' about services and digital goods, since there's no actual shipping.

Tax still applies... depending on which zipcode you've entered.

Thank god I didn't enter a New York zipcode

I've heard rumours they updated this and you can no longer put a CP from another place.. so for foreigners we cant use our credit cards on the eshop anymore

Yes, I'm from the Philippines and just used my mom's credit card (but my 3DS region is set to US, Maryland, Baltimore since my uncle lives there). I tried to add funds but it doesn't work anymore.

You're on the Internet, are you not?

My 3DS is a PAL Australian model and I changed region to UK to download Shantae on Dsi. I had no problem using my Australian Credit Card on the UK Shop!
