I have the similar problem as I set my location as Singapore.

But after advice from my gamestore online, I managed to fix it out.

1. Go to settings -> other settings -> profile -> region settings

2. Set to 'United States' or any other compatible region

3. Set any state or none

4. Load the eShop

5. Before the first download, you need a zipcode. Go to google and search for any tax-free state (e.g. Alaska) and simply get one zipcode. Any one will do fine.

You SHOULD be able to use the eShop now.

Hope I helped

I know that trick but did any of you do it then use your credit card and if did it work .

Won't work. They want the zip code of the card.

You'll have to buy 3DS points cards (like me too).

If this actually works, I'll keep this pinned for a while.

Yeah it works, confirmed. Just like they said keep in mind it'll cause issues connecting your Credit card and paying with it so just buy Nintendo Points cards.

Just to tell you that I'm using an American 3DS in France, and I just used my credit card on the e-shop whithout any problems.

But they asked me for a zip code... I can't give my Australian zip code, it is not the same length.

did you try first?

if you're willing you can pay me over paypal and i can get you a prepaid code

although i wouldnt know if they will charge me tax for it, so be prepare to play slightly more than 20

also i have finals this week so if you want to do that then it'll have to wait until next week

I'll try it.

They say they want the zip code to check it against the credit card billing address zip code, but maybe they don't check it.

I used the same credit card to buy Japanese DSi points, they did not need a zip code then.

Because of the region lock, I cannot find US on the list - Only England, Russia, New Zealand ....

I have tried all of them - The eShop doesn't work at all on 7 June!!
