Hacking For a modchipped Wii, how would $400 sound?

No install it your self and buy from foundmy.com with the wiiclip which make installation very easy.

I want to play GC backups and I dont know how long it is before GC compatibility with the backup loader is 100% yet

$400 is WAY too much.
That's $250 for the Wii, and $150 for the modchip and installation.
That's just a ripoff

buy a wii and wiiclip it for 300 ((wii= 250+tax)+(Solderless D2Pro ModChip= 50.00 USD)), save 100

It will get done. When the wii backup loader was released, remember how slow the games were. Compared to then, the games run at normal speeds now. I would wait.

To buy a Wii with no mods in Aus is 400. Unless you have tonnes of cash to throw around, go softmod.
