I did that. I rebooted the console with just that file, without pressing any buttons. The result was that it booted me into Luma, with none of the settings set.Good, that's the right one. Try booting the system with just that file on the sd card.
So on the root there were no other folders, and you removed the nintendo 3ds folder?I did that. I rebooted the console with just that file, without pressing any buttons. The result was that it booted me into Luma, with none of the settings set.
I am currently sitting on the Luma options screen, and yes the only file on my sd is the 70kb arm9loaderhax. It's just none of the options are selected, so i'm waiting further instructions. So on the root there were no other folders, and you removed the nintendo 3ds folder?
Just to clarify, the only file that you had on the card was arm9loaderhax.bin - just those 70kb?
And even after that you still got a black screen on booting sysnand? If that's the case then it sounds like you really did somehow brick your sysnand.
If not however, I would try that.
Turn on these optionsI am currently sitting on the Luma options screen, and yes the only file on my sd is the 70kb arm9loaderhax. It's just none of the options are selected, so i'm waiting further instructions.
Something worked, I've entered the normal looking home menu again. I don't know where I am now however, like where to continue from the guide.Turn on these options
Use the (A) button and the D-Pad to turn on the following:
And then attempt to boot sysnand by pressing start.
- “Autoboot SysNAND”
- “Use SysNAND FIRM if booting with R”
- “Show NAND or user string in System Settings”
Put these files back on your sd cardSomething worked, I've entered the normal looking home menu again. I don't know where I am now however, like where to continue from the guide.

No, place them where the guide says to place them. For example place Hourglass9 in /luma/payloads; and dspdump in /3ds/ etc.Am I supposed to place them all at the root?
Wew, err. I did everything up to and including dumping hs.app, but now I forgot my FBI file on my pc, is it ok to shut off my console while I'm in this state? No, place them where the guide says to place them. For example place Hourglass9 in /luma/payloads; and dspdump in /3ds/ etc.
Glad that it all worked out. You should be able to delete your strange cias with fbi. Do you know what they were?Wew, err. I did everything up to and including dumping hs.app, but now I forgot my FBI file on my pc, is it ok to shut off my console while I'm in this state?
Update: I have reached the bottom of the guide, I now have three funky icons on my home menu and I think all is well.
Many thanks, got me scared there for a second.
With funky I meant three home menu icons that Ninty doesn't want to be there. All is well.Glad that it all worked out. You should be able to delete your strange cias with fbi. Do you know what they were?
