i left my gba kit in my old gba for over a year once (i wasn't playing it) and nothing happens mate. if you experience issues i would tend to think its pocket dust that got trapped and had no way out.

-another world

Me too....I haven't removed my M3 Real form my Lite since I got it (had to do that paper trick), and I don't plan to remove it either..

I don't see the reason why it would damage NDS..

leaving your flashcart in your ds will risk oxidization and eventually rusting from the contact blades, and will eventually spread to the battery and cause it to leak and melt the hardware inside your ds

And then when you will power up your ds your internal organs will start to melt and you will grow hair on your tongue. After a while you will start to become blue and glowing, and explode shortly after.

I have never taken my R4 out of my DS and I plan on doing it only when the Acekard will be delivered to me, which is going to be in a couple of days.

trust me, oxidation is not fun.

if you take 2nd year organic chemistry, oxidation will be your worst enemy lol.

once again, thanks for all the input!
But by the time it's has oxidation on it Nintendo has 5 new consoles.

well i keep my cyclods in the ds lite most of the time, unless i switch microsd cards then i usually take it out, wont be a problem once my 8gb card arrives(tomorrow hopefully)

Nintendo actually recommends you keep a game in at all times to prevent dust, it's in the manual nobody reads.

I had tetris in my original Gameboy for like, 5 years with no problems.

i take my flashcart out of my ds often to be a 'time traveler' since i cant set the date on my r4 if you know what i mean

There should be no harm in leaving a flashcart in your DS at all times. I have ZERO real DS games, so my CycloDS (and before that, the R4) is ALWAYS in there.

While I do own a few actual GBA carts, I have a flashcart in that slot also. Never had a problem and my DSlite is an original first batch USA release black DSlite.

That's almost exactly the same as my situation
Except I don't have the first batch USA black DSlite
And I use an Acekard 2 and used to have a DSTT
