Forgive me asking noob question. Im a former "android" user, since i haven't got the experience i want when it comes to RPG and other gameplay., i decided to buy 3DS.

My question is.. is my R4 compatible to the 3ds latest firmware.. I'm using "R4DSLL" since, i can't find the flashcard i had on the list, that is why i ask.

http://r4dsll.com is the site of my FC.. too bad i can;t find the information on this site when it comes to firmware update compatibility..

R4i-SDHC users please RE-Flash with 1.50b as there was a bug so please update to latest

you don't have to do ANYTHING to your 3DS. The whole update process involves only the flash card and a DS. After that, your card is good to go in a 3DS.

EDIT: Though if your 3DS is an older firmware, I believe you can use that to update the flash card instead of a DS

the site seems quite confusing but you can try the following

download the following
http://www.r4dsll.com/newd/tt.rar
copy to the card so you are on latest official firmware

①.Open wifi by NDSI/NDSL SETTING MENU
②.Choose the third icon enter
③.Choose Flashwriter.nds and run

this should flash the update from
2011-11-26

i assume it will make it compatible with 2.2.0-4 and maybe hopefully 3.0.0-5 as i believe there was no new flashcard patch between the 2 updates

FYI (since I can't be bothered to go through all the posts to check) I can NOW tell you that to receive Mii's via Spotpass you need to play a 3DS game Online
Although even if you only play against a few people you could get more Mii's just by searching for groups etc

(I've managed to get 18 Mii's in less than 1/2hr playing 'MarioKart 7' & I only played ~3 rounds of 'balloon battle'))

However you CANNOT use Spotpass Mii's for the quest game or get puzzles pieces from them either

EDIT: FYI - further checking shows you DON'T even have to play against anyone - you just need to 'search' for any online games.
I did this at a seperate time & now I'm up to 85 Mii's in my Plazae

the 3dstt (from www.n3dstt.com) currently does not work on the 3ds with the 3.0 firmware. It worked on the 2.0... there is no update on the site as of yet either...
That's it! I am buying an acekard...It's three times more expensive but it's still a lot cheaper than a ds game... So now I have to make sure I don't get suckered into buying a clone.

So my son updated his 3DS.
I downloaded the latest firmwares for both cards, but it doesn`t work.
It apears a black screen with an error message and please turn off the 3DS (with both cards).
Can somebody help????

you have to update cards before DS

so now you need a 3DS/DS/DSi where the cards do work

Wrong order my friend, you're supposed to update the card, THEN the system.
Unfortunately, you have to get a non updated 3ds, dsi, or DSL in order to update the r4i at this point

I can confirm that the R4i-Gold 3DS (1.57b) (www.R4i-gold.EU) with the new firmware works wel with 3.0.0.5E..

I have a R4i-gold 3DS from www.r4i-gold.com. I updated the hardware and now it shows the Narnia game...but now the card doesnt work...If I install 1.69b from the .com version, it's asking me to install the kernel from the .eu webiste. But if I install the 1.57b from the .eu version, it then asks me to install a kernel from the .com website...any idea why?

I managed to copy other's moonshell that works on 3.0.0-5 and it works seemlessly on my flashcard i still can play nds game), My question is, would this present any problems eventually? and copying from other compatible flashcard's moonshell will solve compatibility on 3.0.0-5 with my flashcard?

Hopefully one of you guys can help! I have an R4i card, web address on the front is www.R4I-SDHC.HK. Now on the site it doesnt seem to have an update for the latest 3DS software but when you click the development tab, at the bottom of the FAQs it suggest going to www.R4I-SDHC.TW to download the latest firmware. Clicking that link takes you to www.r4i-sdhc.com so my question is, will the update from r4i-sdhc.com work on my r4i-sdhc.hk card?

Any help would be great, cheers!
