Sort of... the simplest way I would guess how is to go in and HEX edit Male!Corrin to Female!Corrin RIGHT BEFORE the S-Support, using DeathChaos's workaround (in the first post of this thread). So then, when (temporarily) f!corrin gets married, M!Kana's map gets unlocked. Retrieve your Kana, save, and HEX back to m!corrin. ofc, this is purely theoretical.

That's what I was thinking, but I'm hoping it doesn't mess with M!Corrin's data.

Actually, I think the simplest way would be to save edit with FEFTwiddler. That's how i got twin Kannas.

Load your save in FEFTwiddler, change the byte that specifies the character to Male Kanna, change the class to a male one. Done.

EDIT: of course, this is done AFTER you recruit Kanna.

I'm probably jumping way ahead with male kanna (im still installing lmao)

But I'm having a bit of trouble with OOT3DHax. The file I need is POST5_U_25600_usa_9221 but it doesn't show up in the saveimages I have.

EDIT: FOUND IT

EDT #2: Installed OOT3DHax, but my 3DS just shows a blank top screen and a red bottom screen

EDIT #3: Figured out I needed the boot.3dsx in the root of the SD card

EDIT #4: Successfully at the braindumping. Only took 2 1/2 hours!

Actually, I think the simplest way would be to save edit with FEFTwiddler. That's how i got twin Kannas.

Load your save in FEFTwiddler, change the byte that specifies the character to Male Kanna, change the class to a male one. Done.

EDIT: of course, this is done AFTER you recruit Kanna.
I forgot FEFTwiddler was a thing, oops! Duh. Totally didn't occur to me. Thanks!

That used to happen to me really often when I first downloaded it. I just uninstalled then reinstalled and that seemed to have worked.

Oh, and you might want to check the folder you tried to build if the Romfsbuilder stopped, since for me, it seemed like it loses a few files every time it happens.

Forgive me, for I do not know much, but what folder do you mean? The m folder in the gay fates hack? O another folder?

Both Kanas share the same map, the script just has an if condition where it spawns a Kana depending on what gender your MU is, and if you switch to Female, get Male Kana, then switch back to male, you will no longer be Male Kana's parent because male and female MUs are completely different characters with different character IDs

Hey Death, is it okay if I ask you something about save editing an additional Kamui? I've been trying for days but I'm stumped. Here's what I did so far:
-Captured a generic unit. Generic unit name is York.
-Changed the byte that determines who the unit is in FEFTwiddler, thus turned him into F!Kamui, and changed the class to Nohr Noble (F)
Now the unit has a hooded person portrait, has no voice, and the name is still York.

So I also tried doing the same thing I did to get double Kanna: copy-pasting another unit's character block. However, that doesn't work (makes the file corrupted) because Kamui's block is longer than the other characters' blocks, and thus if i paste write it over York's character block it also overwrites part of the next character block.

What should I do to change York into a Kamui? Note: I can't use a logbook avatar, bc i'm playing the japanese special edition on an EUR 3ds, which means no internet, which means no logbook avatars.

(Sorry if this is pretty much off topic but i didnt know where else to ask. We can move the convo to private messages if you want)

Any idea how to get a logbook MU if i can't use internet? and im pretty sure streetpass won't work either, since FE:F isn't even out yet in europe...

You can buy shield units from the Einherjar shop, just buy your MU from there.
Whoa, thanks!! I didn't even know there was a shop like that (it's called Magic Card Shop in the JP special edition so i never paid attention to it)
I just recruited a Kamui, gonna try to save edit a bit now.

EDIT: after lots of editing i managed to get a working additional female kamui in my game! (She can even S-support male kamui!) Now i just have to hope she won't interfere with my main male kamui (as in, appearing in-story in his stead and stuff like that)

I finally got everything to run properly, but once I load the romfs file into HANS it says the path is invalid. If I try to load it I just get a blank screen.

Except I realized that for some reason the gay fates patch doesn't work anymore. Also, the game freezes often. Any suggestion on what to do?

You need a different layeredfs plugin for the 1.1 update I think, IIRC there was one provided by RainThunder on the Amiibo paralogue unlock thread.

That would mean that the update itself has it's own GameData meaning you'd have to decrypt the update, extract the romfs, replace the GameData.bin.lz with the one you want to use, rebuild the romfs, insert it into the update and rebuild it, and then install it, I think there was a tutorial for that around here.

Welp. Online features arent worth all that (especially since people with the USA version cant even visit my castle anyway).

I thought I'd go ahead and leave this here for anyone interested in adding in support conversations.

I've been working on a program to make formatting support conversations a bit easier. All you really have to with this program is give the name, emotion, and text for each dialogue, and the program will handle building the lines, getting the Japanese versions for the names and emotions, and fitting the text to the textbox. It's been quite the time saver for me in taking a script and formatting it for support conversation files. It's done everything as expected for me so far, but I've really only run a few scripts through it so far, so I'm not entirely sure if the formatting will cover every situation yet.

As a bit of a caveat, I haven't really made the effort of adding in checks when the input is improperly formatted, so if you input text that's not in the correct format, there's a good chance that the program will just crash. However, the formatting's pretty straightforward, so that shouldn't be too big of an issue. I'll probably fix it eventually though.

Anyways, I'll include the format below. Additionally, I've included a readme and example file in case my directions don't cover anything.

The first line should use:
(First character to talk)+(Second character to talk)

Every line after should use:
(Character talking)+(Emotion)+(Optional emotion. Don't include this if no optional is used.)+Text

Here's what can go in the (Emotion) or (Optional Emotion) section:
Sweat
Blush
General
Surprised
Sad
Angry
Happy
Great
Desperate
Possessed

Just follow the template for writing your conversation and paste it into the program's textbox and hit the button to format.

I hope somebody can get some use out of this when adding in support conversations. I've also included the source code in case someone wants to fix some of the program's issues before I get around to it.

Edit: I'm also looking into modifying the program to create the entire text file so that you could just enter everything into the program and get a text file ready to be run through FEAT and thrown into a patch without any extra steps, though I've got a bit more testing to go with that.
