I've never read the books actually. But after progressing further into the game and getting better equipment, I'm loving the game even more if possible. Right now, I'd pick this over Dementium the Ward and Call of Duty World at War (But not quite as good as Metroid Hunters) as the 2nd-best FPS/3-D/Stylus-controlled free-look game on the DS.
What a waste that there haven't been more DS games like this instead of all the easily-made tile-based anime fluff brought over from the GBA and SNES years.
