Yesterday, i was playing FFIII, and i was wondering how it could be if there wasn't a damage limiter set to 9999 HP of damage, because on some faqs there was written something like this: "the damage caps at 9999, but surely it's higher, thanks to HIGH attack power, strenght and job level."
So i'm asking if there is a patch that removes that limiter.
Thanks!!In FFIII DS, the display of damage is limited to 9999, but the actual damage you can do is not limited to 9999. If you have high level characters, and a hit or spell does 30,000 damage or so, the damage displayed will still be 9999. There is no hack at this point to display the actual damage dealt.
If you get to higher levels and start fighting dragons, etc, it becomes apparent that you can deal far more damage than 9999. You can calculate it approximately by killing off all your characters except one, then dividing the enemy HP by the number of turns it takes to kill them.
