its probably gunna connect to the Wii version like connecting an
gba to the G?C game, but cus theres a cart in the ds too, im sure there'll b more options

Not at all because local play is called Wi-Fi and online play is called Wi-Fi Connection so i would assume that it is referring to just local play.
