I'd be all for an RX port just for TurboGraFX! Don't remember trying Hugo, but WiiEngine's controls were garbage and the CD tracks were off by 4 seconds.

There are already standalone emulators for Neo Geo Pocket (NEOPOP Wii) and Virtual Boy (WiirtualBoy), though i don't use them so i don't know if they compare to WiiMednafen.
A stand alone NeoGeo Pocket RX emulator with a good interface would be a dream... It would be really great.

As far as TurboGrafx/PC-Engine goes, after using Retroarch's 1.0.0.2 core, I never looked back.
Once you get a good bios and correct roms, it played everything I threw at it, CD games included, even obscure fan translated games like Motteke Tamago.

The only thing is that, because PC-E games have different resolutions, I had to make two copies of the core, to play each game correctly without having to change the settings. But that's the nature of the original system (like the Mega Drive) more than a fault of the emulator.

There's also a Neo Geo Pocket emulator, but I never tried it too much. Either way, standalone emulators, as always, would be welcomed, although I think we shouldn't be asking for too many things now that the scene has revived a bit, we could send it into a coma again, lol.

If there's one thing i would love to happen is to have a release with the obsolete/redundant cores removed, since they are surpassed by better standalone emulators, namely NES/GB/GBA/SMS/GG/Genesis.

Hi niuus, sorry, maybe my mind is not clear, but what i can remember from the last time i've tested WiiMednafen is that it had the only good working NeoGeo Pocket and VirtualBoy cores, in the latest RetroArch version, the NeoGeo pocket core is not working on the wii, every button you press will result in a autofire effect, and the Wiirtualboy emulator was very laggy what i can remember and the RetroArch version lacked black&white mode, but maybe i have missed a couple of things.

I made a forwarder. Basicly I used the FCE Ultra GX forwarder and modified it.
Things that need to be fixed:
-Maybe use different logos for the icon and modify the background a little bit
-Add updated characters on top
-Maybe use a different background for the main banner itself
-Change the text on top to "RX" instead of "GX"

I also added a much high-quality version of the Super Mario Bros theme. Enjoy, and feel free to help me out!

Test 2 is here! It now has the title screen music from Pictionary and has a couple of differences (such as a custom logo).
Things that need to be fixed:
-Fix the viewable loop in the icon
-Change the top text to RX (can't find traces in icon.blyat or banner.blyat)
-Add characters in the banner.

Just discovered your mods today, and all I can give is praise. One question though, do you have an ETA on when we'll have custom music added to this? Thank you for your mod!

Hi @Lolithetrolli. I am getting closer to finishing almost all changes for Snes9x RX, so soon i'll be able to catch up with FCEUltra RX too.

I remember some time ago someone moded FCEUltra GX in order to have crop settings per game, but I can't find it. Cropping borders per game is really useful, but screen position and maybe palette per game would be cool too.

@niuus
Do you think it's possible to add some kind of settings per game option?
As I have imagined it, you'll have your default settings as of now, but once you load a game you'll have an option to save the settings for that specific game. Then when you load that game again, the emulator will automatically switch to those settings. And if you load a game that doesn't have specific settings the emulator will load the default settings again.

Do you think it's possible to implement? Thank you for your hard work.

Hey! While i don't have any particular use for that custom setup, i guess it could be useful in some instances. It's gonna take me a good while though, i'd like to try and recompile the abandoned but much missed WiiMednafen port :)

You mean this : https://gbatemp.net/threads/fce-ultra-gx-version-with-custom-cropping-overscan-size.496595/

The guy never shared his source. @niuus will have to ask him once again or just implement it himself.
Funny, i had never even crossed that thread or heard about that build! Gonna check it out.

Hi, I'd like to inform that two of the filters have their names interchanged.

"Filtered (Sharp)" and "Filtered (Soft)" do the opposite of what they say.
Also let me say, the actual sharp filter is quite great!

Hi @niuus!! It's awesome how good this new version of FCEU is,but I would love to see an Overclock option!! Games like Contra Force looks and runs better with this mode!!

Hi niuus, just curious, do you have new upcoming projects? Like VBARX?

Hi! Due to work and some issues with my PC (need to sit down and find the faulty components), i haven't had too much spare time to resume these fun projects. I'll try to do it soon.
I totally understand niuus, but great to hear that projects like VBARX are still on your list, can't wait to see more awesome creations :)
